QK4688 Figurine of a reclining nude female on a wooden pedestal.

Mammoth Ivory. Figure is of a lady with very tiny feet which most likely puts this into China
where footbinding was practiced until probably the early 1900's. Could be erotica of the time
or it could be a medical aid... back in those days ladies were not to be touched by anyone but
their husband and you could lose your head even if you were just practicing medicine. So in
order to diagnose, the lady would point, on the ivory figure, to that part of her body that
was troubling her and the physician would diagnose and treat from that.
Pedestal itself is 4 1/2" long and 1 3/4" wide.

This is my favorite. Nice, highly polished Mammoth Ivory frog.

Appx 2" long, 1" high and 1" deep.

Artist signed but hard to see even with the arrow pointing to it.

Mammoth Ivory. Artist Signed. There is the very slightest chance it could be Vegetable
because of their size and shape. However, based on my source, I believe it to be Mammoth

Each is appx 1 1/2" high, 1 1/2" wide and 1" deep.

Mammoth Ivory. Appx 1 1/2" tall and 1 1/4" deep.

Mammoth Ivory, artist signed on bottom. 1 3/4" high, 1" wide and 1 1/2" deep.
This coloration can be caused by various methods including storage in an untreated leather bag or with tobacco.
I do not know which treatment was used.

Mammoth Ivory, artist signed on bottom just below the head. 1 3/4" long, 1" 1/4 wide and 1 1/2" high.

Bone, not Ivory.

Swing the top panel out, push in on the left end and swivel the secondary hinge out.
3 1/4" long, 1" 1/4 wide and 1" deep.

Bone chopsticks appx 9" long. Could also be repurposed as hair decoration.

Bone by presumption, appx 2" high and 3/4" diameter.

Could be mid 1800's or earlier.

Discussion: The design appears to me to look like totem figures and I wonder if this is North American or Canadian Indian in origin?
